Greetings from beyond the thin veil of sanity!
We wanted to give you guys some updates on the live performance side of Tortoise and Finch.
Our groundbreaking first show, “The Last Five Years”, was performed before sold-out houses this past summer and generated great interest in our company as a bastion of clever, “niche” live shows in 2009. In 2010, we are already working to build on this success.
In April, we will present “The Rehab Revue,” a cabaret-style concert with songs from rock, pop, and Broadway about vices, addictions, and obsessions. Fortunately, the show will be six feet from a bar, as it is presented at the Turtle Lane Playhouse in Newton, MA, so get ready to curl up with your favorite hit of something (or someone) and enjoy the sights and sounds of Boston’s best talent.
At this concert Tortoise and Finch will also announce its 2010-2011 season, which will commence in October 2010.
As you may have heard, we are also running a short play competition. All of the guidelines and information can be found on our website (http://www.tortoiseandfinch.com), or you can send e-mail to info@tortoiseandfinch.com and someone on our lovely and talented staff will get back to you shortly. The winner(s) of the short play competition will have their play staged during our 2011-2012 season.
